My name is Patrick Wymer. I live in Penarth in South Wales. In June 2017 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Bowel Cancer. I’m being treated at Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff. The purpose of this site is to record my thoughts, advice, pictures and anything else related to bowel cancer and other issues that matter to me.

Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100
My friend, Ian Giles cycled 100 gruelling miles in this event on 29 July 2018. He raised over £3,000 for Bowel Cancer UK. You can donate using the link below:
A group of six of my former work colleagues and friends completed a 3 day charity walk on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path on 3 – 5 May 2018. I joined them for days 1 and 3. They raised a staggering £65,000 for Bowel Cancer UK and Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff where I’m being treated. Read my post about the walk.
